Spring has agreed to settle a lawsuit revolving around unauthorized third-party services charged to some customers bills by companies providing Premium SMS services. These “SMS Services” include such media as wallpapers, text messages related horoscopes and celebrity gossip, ringtones and games. Class members are defined as any Sprint customers who paid for unauthorized third-party PSMS charges after June 1, 2019.
Sprint Refund PSMS Notes
- The lawsuit includes all Sprint prepaid customers to include Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile, Sprint Prepaid, and Assurance Wireless
- Kurtzman Carson Consultants has been charged with the task of issuing refunds and bill credits for class members who file timely, valid claims
- In order to be eligible for a refund or credit via the Spring PSMS Refund lawsuit the customer must file a claim on or before June 31, 2019
- Do not under any circumstances contact the Sprint Customer service hotline with questions about the lawsuit
- Many Sprint customers who are approved will receive a one-time refund of $7.00 for unauthorized charge
- Claim forms can be submitted online or via US Mail
- All refund checks will be sent via ClearXchange and class members should allow up to 9 month to receive their payment
Kurtzman Carson Consultants has been hired by multi million dollar firms in previous cell phone lawsuit so this is not their first rodeo.
